Parking in Waikiki and On Oahu

Parking can prove to be difficult at times on the island, especially in Waikiki. The bus, Uber, Lyft, and taxi's are all plentiful and available. For those who must drive, here are a few of my parking secrets I've picked up over the years:

Waikiki

As of 12/2016

Honolulu Zoo -  151 Kapahulu Ave., 24 hours metered parking. Credit card payments are accepted.

Kapiolani Park - Kalakaua Ave, across the park, 24 hours, 25 cents per hour

Ala Wai Yacht Harbor - Hobron Ln and Ala Moana Blvd, $1 per hour, Cars left parked in the free parking stalls between 10:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. will be cited and towed

Jimmy Buffets at the Beachcomber Hotel - 2300 Kalakaua Ave, Free valet up to 4 hours with validation

Dukes - validated self parking at Ohana East Hotel on Kaiulani Ave Saturdays & Sundays ONLY:  3 hours free parking at the Ohana East Hotel with purchase at Duke's.

The Beach Bar at the Moana Surfrider Hotel - 2365 Kalakaua Ave, $6 Valet with validation

Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center which houses Chibo, Doraku, and many other shops - 2201 Kalakaua Ave, 24 hours, $6 per hour, $2 for two hours with validation

Sheraton Waikiki which houses RumFire and Mai Tai Bar - 2255 Kalakaua Ave, 4 hours with validation

Shorebirds Restaurant - 2169 Kalia Rd the Outrigger Reef Hotel, valet only $5 for four hours (w/ validation)

Embassy Suites - 201 Beach Walk, self park, 24 hours, $1 per hour

Hilton Hawaiian Village - 2005 Kalia Rd, self park, free w/ validation at Bali Restaurant, Tropics Bar and Grill, Rainbow Lanai, and Benihana

Waikiki Trade Center - 2255 Kuhio Ave, 24 hours, Sun - Wed $6 flat rate good until 5pm, $7 flat rate 5pm-6am.  Thurs-Sat 5pm-6am $11 flat rate. Validation available at some establishments within

Ala Moana Shopping Mall - 1450 Ala Moana Blvd, free self park

Ala Moana Beach Park - free self park

There is limited street parking in Waikiki.  These spots are rarely available due to the overwhelming amount of cars. Meters only take quarters.

Koolina Parking:

To visit the Disney Aulani Hotel or the Marriott Ihilani at Koolina, both offer free parking with validation.  The Aulani requires a dining minimum of $35 for free validation on self parking.  The Ihilani has no known minimum for validated self parking.
